Some are general goals for the co-operative, some are long term visionary goals for the infrastructure.

Here are some to get the ball rollin':
- Keeping a steady flow of membership and in exchange between space and members.
- Using only used or recycled goods, tools, and products as much as possible.
- Garbage free weeks.
- Keeping a respectful code of conduct.
- Mentoring with successful models and creating partnerships and allies.
- Applying for grants.
- Collecting active and determined members to manage the co-operative to keep progressive and efficient.

Operating grant programs provide support to non-profit arts organizations (incorporated and unincorporated) for their ongoing activities. The funding contributes to both the artistic and administrative costs associated with the organization’s operations.
Operating programs are offered on an Annual cycle, where the assessment determines the grant allocation for the organization’s next fiscal year, and on a Multi-Year cycle, where the assessment determines the grant allocation for the organization’s next three fiscal years. The Multi-Year Operating cycle is only open to applications once every three years.
COMMUNITY ARTS New applicants to the Community Arts program are advised to contact the Community Arts Officer prior to completing an application form in order to confirm eligibility.

- Fostering Arts at a Local Level: A review of Community Arts Councils in Ontario
In spring 2010 OAC hired mDm Consulting to produce a survey of Community Arts Councils in Ontario to gain a fuller understanding of the number and types of councils that exist throughout the province; the contexts in which they operate; the roles they play in their communities; and the range of activities they undertake in response to their region. Grant Programs - Artists in the Community/Workplace supports the research, development, production and presentation of community-engaged, collaborative, process-driven artistic work. Community arts activities involve professional artists and community members working together to develop collective experiences and public presentations that express their community's unique identity.
Deadline Dates: March 1 and October 1, 2012 - Community & Multidisciplinary Arts Organizations provides operating funding to not-for-profit multidisciplinary arts organizations and community arts organizations based in Ontario that have at least two years of programming experience.
- Eligibility: To be eligible for this program, community and multidisciplinary arts organizations must:
- be an Ontario not-for-profit corporation (with the exception of book and magazine publishers)
- be a federal not-for-profit corporation (with the exception of book and magazine publishers) with the head office in Ontario
- be led by professional personnel
- have completed a minimum of two years of sustained, regular, ongoing programming in their communities as of the date of the application
- have a range of revenue sources such as private and government
- have proof of sound financial management
- submit verification of financial results of the last completed fiscal year with their applications

- Integrated Arts Projects funds artistic processes or practices that involve the integration of two or more artistic disciplines.
Deadline Dates: March 15 and October 15, 2012 - Multi-Arts Projects provides grants to artists and organizations to create, produce and present multidisciplinary works and events, such as festivals, that use two or more artistic disciplines, with each discipline retaining its own identity.
